QUT is the only university in Queensland with two inner-city campuses. Gardens Point campus is located next to the Brisbane River and the Botanic Gardens. Old Government House, recognised as one of Queensland’s most important heritage sites, is located on Gardens Point campus, along with a performing arts theatre and art museum. Kelvin Grove campus is an award-winning urban development, located only two kilometres north of the Brisbane city centre. Students can easily walk to the city or University and they benefit from purpose-built student accommodation and a range of facilities within a convenient village atmosphere. The university provides free shuttle bus transport for student and staff between campuses. Research institutes and cooperative research centres are located throughout Brisbane and Queensland. Brisbane offers beautiful weather year-round, convenient public transport and a safe and relaxed lifestyle. Pedestrian and cycle bridges link the Gardens Point campus to South Bank Parklands, Queensland Museum, the Performing Arts Complex, State Library of Queensland and the Gallery of Modern Art.

QUT recommend budgeting £1,280 (AU$2,000) for establishment costs and £224 to £256 ($350-400) weekly for rent and other living expenses. Brisbane is a relatively affordable Australian city. The accommodation service help students with finding accommodation with or without fellow students. They can also help to arrange a homestay (living with a local family).
