All new undergraduates from outwith the City of Edinburgh are guaranteed an offer of university accommodation for their first year of study. The university provides a wide range of accommodation options, both catered and self-catered. Wherever?undergraduate residents come from, they are allocated as evenly as possible throughout accommodation, based on their expressed preferences. The majority of university accommodation is up to 1.5 km from the university central area, a 15�C20 minute walk. Students may stay in their accommodation during Christmas and Spring vacations.
